Caffeinated Dreams

The previous theme I was using, called snapshot, was beginning to bore me. All my layouts have also been very brightly colored, or even just whites and grays. So from one extreme to the other I went(!) and found this one. A modified k2 called Sca4red.2. Now I’m happy with the layout again. :)

Also updated to the latest version of Wordpress and k2. It was bugging the hell out of me–none of my admin pages were loading entirely. Until I disabled Counterize, THE most used plugin on this site, and it fixed itself… after I reinstalled/cleared the database/and so on. Ah well. Probably needed to be done anyway.

I found this theme and fell in love with it. Pop art, vintage art, retro art, etc have always been my favorite but never have I taken it to computer art and design. :) So I’m using this theme and going to modify it to my liking… I already liked the greens used so that’s probably gonna stay. I made a header image, but it isn’t fully complete and will probably be radically different soon, who knows.

Remember how I said I was sick of web design (at the moment)? Yeah, I do too. This is cheating though–using a pre-made layout. Leaving all the headaches gone and all I get to do is graphics. Yay.

I fixed some bugs in the original layout, so now I’m going back to this. The bug was in the header, a MySQL error of some sort that I can’t be bothered to explain. It’s gone–yay!

Knowing me though, it’ll change to something new in a month. :P

I had made a prototype design from nearly a month back, and slacked off on making an actual layout for it. Early this morning (around 3am) I began working, 3 hours later I had the backbone design down. Went to bed, woke up, and within another 2 hours I “finished” an early version. An alpha, in otherwords.

Learned some more PHP junk too with the help of some good folk on IRC and the b/f. Everything validates thus far, but it probably looks like ass in IE because I don’t have the stylesheet written for it, and it only, yet. Ah well.
