One speech down, one more to go. Public speaking is not something I really enjoy doing, I can hide the stress and nervousness well but standing in front of at least 50 people was just not something I’m used to. Small group (like a classroom size) and such yeah sure, bring it on.
This wasn’t such a long speech, only 10 minutes with about another 10-15 minutes of questions at the end. I was surprised at the interest in the topics I went through, so it really helped kill the stress at the end. The next one is going to be longer but thankfully it’s a group of 4 of us shifting through the topics.
You assbutts made me do it. I put in my Facebook info but a lot of stuff is showing up incorrectly for some reason (birthday year and graduating year decided for themselves sigh).
When I Arrive in Phoenix Tomorrow…
0 Comments Published by Jen July 12th, 2006 in Ego, Life in General… It’ll be 113F with a slight chance of rain. In otherwords, lovely weather. :D This time tomorrow I’ll be somewhere over the Atlantic Ocean on my way to Newark, then on to Phoenix, to visit for a month. The other night Lance and I began talking about what we were gonna do when we are there. Almost all things were “get subway… del taco… hungry howies… swensens… bucca… firebirds… mexican food… chik-fil-a…” Yeah. We’ve been on the lean European diet for too long and our inner American fatass is taking over.
The new Pirates of the Caribbean premiered today, but I didn’t go see it. Instead, I’m gonna go with my mom and brother because they both want to see it as well. Possibly on Friday. Who knows. Also gonna head up to Sedona, but I was told it caught fire a few weeks ago! (!!) So instead of pretty pictures of the landscape, I’ll be taking pretty (?) pictures of the burnt landscape and aftermath. Just more to add to my collection of Sedona, I love that place. :)
I probably won’t be online as much. I’ll have to share a computer with my mom/brother, and my brother hogs it all day and night. Anyway, have to continue cleaning the apartment and do laundry. It sucks doing this alone. Urgh. ;(
