Caffeinated Dreams is just a blog and portal to my crap, only friends really bother reading or I use it to host projects. So I never worried about getting targeted for comment spam. Then out of who knows where I begin getting it.
For awhile it seemed managable, until I broke 20 spam messages a day, so earlier today I found Akismet and installed it. It does all the work for me, I checked it and within the past few hours it caught 10 spammy comments. Wonderful.
Uhhhh…. you get spam here?
Yes. You just can’t see it. I have it set up so if a comment has more than two links it automatically goes to my moderation queue so I can pass it off as spam or no spam.
